South West Rocks
Fish Rock — grey nurse shark aggregation and one of Australia's few true ocean cave dives.
Fish Rock is one of Australia's most important shark-diving destinations. Visit NSW identifies the site as a major grey nurse shark aggregation area, and for many Australian divers it is the definitive grey nurse experience.
The site also contains Fish Rock Cave, which is unusual: a genuine through-cave in an ocean setting. The deeper entrance is around 24 metres, with the passage rising internally toward shallower water before reaching the opposite side.
South West Rocks itself is a small coastal town, which means the diving is the reason to visit rather than an add-on to something else.
