Air, Nitrox, oxygen, helium and Trimix — what to verify and where it is actually available.
Gas logistics determine whether a technical trip is possible, and they are the thing most often assumed rather than verified.
Every listing should record air, Nitrox, oxygen, helium, Trimix, custom blending, booster availability, CCR oxygen, sorb and stage hire as separate items, each with a verification date.
Helium availability in particular should always be treated as time sensitive. Supply fluctuates globally, and a centre's capability can change between one season and the next.
A simple yes or no on "technical gas" tells a diver almost nothing. These do.

Whatever a fill sheet says, divers should analyse their own cylinder before use and record the result.
This is standard practice at every level from recreational Nitrox upward, and it is the last line of defence against a labelling error.
Never assume technical gas is available at a remote destination simply because technical diving is possible there.

Why does helium availability change so often?
Helium is a finite resource with competing industrial and medical demand, and global supply has been constrained repeatedly. Local availability follows those fluctuations.
Can I travel with my own cylinders?
Cylinders must be empty and valves removed for air travel, which means arranging fills at the destination. For technical gases, that arrangement needs to be made in advance.
