Esperance sits at the edge of the Great Australian Bight, with the Recherche Archipelago — more than a hundred granite islands — spread offshore.
The water here can be extraordinarily clear, and the granite terrain combined with sea lion colonies makes for diving that is unlike anywhere else in Western Australia.
It is also remote and weather-dependent, and the region requires content on offshore islands, Southern Ocean exposure, visibility, water temperature and weather dependence rather than a simple site list.
