What varies and should be checked is the number of dives available per day for your stay, whether guided diving is included, Nitrox availability, and how the day-boat transfers are scheduled around your arrival and departure. Because the vessel does not move, the range of sites accessible is narrower than a touring liveaboard offers — that is the trade for the flexibility, and it is worth understanding before booking.
